QuickBooks



QuickBooks’ limited creative guidelines were hindering their potential. Utilizing QB’s two design elements — a circle and a line — as our foundation, we created a toolkit that expands the look, tone, and feel of the brand and pushes it into a livelier, more modern space.

These two elements evolved into a set of shapes and stroke treatments used for movement and as decorative elements. We created callouts, tertiary patterns, and textures — adding depth without compromising QB’s minimal aesthethic.



Shapes.

Two systems were created to help illustrate QB’s library of vocabulary. Actions illustrate their respective words through abstract narrative, with the QB circle as the throughline. Icons act as visual anchor points.

Two Modular layout structures were created. Grids and Narrative both display info simply and concisely — one through modules working independently, and the other through modules working interactively.
